Rail Transport Builder Drops Patent Suit Vs. Rival, Customer

Law360, New York (April 21, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Rail transport builder National Steel Car has agreed to drop its patent litigation against rival Greenbrier and its customer, Pacific Railway, in a dispute over a railcar patent.

Under the terms of the settlement, National Steel Car agreed to drop all patent litigation against Greenbrier and Canadian Pacific related to the railcars. Canadian Pacific is a major customer of both National Steel Car and Greenbrier.
