Amaranth Tort Claims Against JPMorgan Revived

Law360, New York (November 06, 2009, 3:00 PM ET) -- A New York state appellate court has reinstated Amaranth LLC's tortious interference claims but killed a breach-of-contract claim against JPMorgan Chase & Co. in a suit claiming the bank derailed the hedge fund's major business deals, leading to its 2006 collapse.

The Supreme Court of New York, First Judicial Department on Thursday revived the tortious interference claims against JPMorgan, rejecting the lower court's application of a one-year statute of limitations to those claims.
