9th Circ. OKs $1.25M Award For AA Flight Attendant

Law360, New York (November 9, 2009, 12:56 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed a judge's decision not to overturn a jury's award of $1.24 million to an American Airlines Inc. flight attendant who sued the company for discrimination.

In an order Friday, a three-judge panel of U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit affirmed the decision in favor of Greta L. Anderson, who alleged the airline discriminated against her by forcing her into counseling and suspending her after an incident with a pilot.
