Knobbe Martens Nabs Ex-Ranbaxy VP Of Global IP

Law360, New York (November 10, 2009, 5:22 PM ET) -- Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP has lured a senior intellectual property executive from Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. to bolster the firm's offerings in the generic pharmaceutical industry.

Jay R. Deshmukh, formerly the senior vice president of global IP at the Indian generics giant, joined Knobbe Martens' Washington office as a partner on Oct. 30, the firm said on Monday.

With over a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Deshmukh will focus his practice on patent litigation, counseling and bringing new clients to Knobbe Marten's doors,...
