Senate Confirms Judge Andre Davis For 4th Circ. Slot

Law360, New York (November 9, 2009, 6:37 PM EST) -- The U.S. Senate has confirmed Judge Andre Davis to a vacancy on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit for the state of Maryland, a position that has lain open since the death of Judge Francis Murnaghan in 2000.

The Senate approved the nomination of Judge Davis, who previously sat on the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, by a vote of 72 to 16 on Monday.
