Rolls-Royce Wins Discovery Bid In Trade Secrets Spat

Law360, New York (November 13, 2009, 1:29 PM ET) -- A federal judge has granted Rolls-Royce Inc.'s request to conduct supplemental discovery of AvidAir Helicopter Supply Inc.'s alleged trade secret violations, in a suit brought by AvidAir claiming that Rolls-Royce's proprietary information related to helicopter engine repairs is not protected.

Although Rolls-Royce's Oct. 27 motion indicated that AvidAir would oppose the additional discovery, AvidAir failed to formally submit its objections, and Judge Ortrie D.
