Pentair, Wis. Energy End Merger Warranty Dispute

Law360, New York (November 13, 2009, 2:04 PM EST) -- Pentair Inc. and Wisconsin Energy Corp. have called an end to their dispute over whether Wisconsin Energy breached an $850 million stock purchase agreement for Pentair's acquisition of its Wicor Inc. subsidiary by misrepresenting the amount of money Wicor held in reserve to pay workers' compensation claims.

Judge Patrick J. Schiltz granted the parties' joint motion to dismiss Pentair's last remaining claim for breach of warranty and contract without prejudice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota on Friday.
