WL Gore, Synovis End Feud Over Staple Seal Patent

Law360, New York (November 13, 2009, 1:36 PM ET) -- W.L. Gore & Associates Inc. has settled surgical device maker Synovis Life Technologies Inc.'s infringement suit over a patent for material used to seal circular surgical staple lines.

Judge Donovan Frank of the U.S. District Court of Minnesota signed off on the dismissal with prejudice Thursday after the parties reached a private agreement.

Attorneys for W.L. Gore said the terms of the agreement are confidential and declined to comment.
