Experts Urge Caution In Expanding Offshore Drilling

Law360, New York (November 19, 2009, 1:41 PM ET) -- Any expansion of offshore oil and natural gas drilling on the Outer Continental Shelf must take environmental concerns into consideration, according to experts who testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources on Thursday.

During a hearing on stewardship policies related to offshore energy production, both scientific experts and industry executives urged caution in expanding offshore drilling.
