Dey, Others Fork Over $4.3M To End Iowa AWP Suit

Law360, New York (November 13, 2009, 6:17 PM ET) -- Eight pharmaceutical companies have agreed to pay Iowa $4.3 million to put an end to allegations that they fraudulently published inflated average wholesale prices, resulting in overpayments by the state's Medicaid program.

On Friday Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller announced the settlement, which applied only to a few of the 78 drugmakers that have been accused of participating in the Medicaid scheme.
