Lightspeed Hits Back At Bose Over Pilot Headsets

Law360, New York (November 16, 2009, 6:19 PM EST) -- Lightspeed Aviation Inc. has beefed up its counterclaims against Bose Corp. in an infringement suit over noise-reducing headsets for pilots, saying Bose's patent is unenforceable because the technology was used in public during the first nonstop flight around the world in 1986.

Lightspeed filed its amended answer and counterclaims in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Friday, arguing that Bose did not disclose to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office that the technology was already publicly known before the patent was issued....
