Acacia Unit, GE Reach Accord In Medical Imaging Suit

Law360, New York (November 17, 2009, 12:49 PM ET) -- General Electric Co. and Hospital Systems Corp., a subsidiary of patent-holding company Acacia Research Corp., have struck a deal to end GE's involvement in a lawsuit HSC brought against it and several other companies over two patents that cover a system for storing and accessing medical images.

GE and HSC filed a joint motion seeking dismissal with prejudice of HSC's claims against GE, as well as GE's counterclaims against HSC, on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
