Target Shoots Back In Coach Trade Dress Suit

Law360, New York (November 19, 2009, 4:51 PM ET) -- Target Corp. has fired back at Coach Services Inc. in a suit accusing the retail giant of selling bags that reproduce or are confusingly similar to Coach's Ergo and signature patchwork designs.

Target filed counterclaims Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, saying Coach's bags are not distinctive and that Target's bags do not bear the Coach name or its signature ā€œCā€ logo.
