Saturday Health Care Vote Looms In Senate

Law360, New York (November 19, 2009, 4:59 PM EST) -- U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada is pushing forward with plans for a vote this weekend that would allow the higher chamber of Congress to begin considering the Democrats' $848 billion proposed overhaul of the U.S. health care system.

On Thursday, Reid, flanked by other Senate Democrats at a rally at the Capitol, promised that the party's decades-long goal of universal health coverage was finally within reach.
