Panasonic, LG, Others Sued Over Optical Drive Patent

Law360, New York (November 19, 2009, 6:17 PM ET) -- Sony Corp., Panasonic Corp. and LG Electronics Inc. are among a slew of companies that have been accused by VoxPath RS LLC of infringing a patent for optical data storage technology.

In a suit filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Austin, Texas-based VoxPath claims that the electronics giants sell optical disc storage and playback systems that infringe a single VoxPath patent.
