Davis-Lynch Fails To Nix Defense In Drilling IP Suit

Law360, New York (November 20, 2009, 12:23 PM EST) -- A federal judge has denied oil field services company Davis-Lynch Inc.’s request to throw out rival Weatherford International Inc.’s inequitable conduct defense in a patent infringement suit over oil and gas drilling technology.

Judge John D. Love of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Thursday denied Davis-Lynch's motion for summary judgment on the inequitable conduct claim, finding that issues of material fact remained.
