No Summary Judgment In DirecTV Overtime Spat

Law360, New York (November 20, 2009, 1:32 PM ET) -- A federal judge has denied DirecTech Southwest Inc.’s motion for summary judgment in a case brought by former technicians who alleged the company, which provides installation services for DirecTV customers, failed to give them overtime pay.

Judge Martin Feldman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana issued the ruling Thursday, saying the employees were no longer exempt from overtime pay under the Motor Carrier Act.
