First Choice Sued For Unsent Iraqi Ballistic Vests

Law360, New York (November 23, 2009, 4:32 PM EST) -- Abu Dhabi-based Al Hamra Trading Est has sued a Massachusetts body armor company — already targeted by federal investigators for fraudulently marketing vests to law enforcement agencies — for more than $900,000 for allegedly failing to deliver nearly a third of the 3,000 ballistic vests it ordered for Iraqi Special Operations Forces.

Al Hamra also claimed First Choice Armor & Equipment Inc. was paid twice for the same vests because the Braintree, Mass., company also received payment from Al Hamra's customer directly, according to the suit...
