Wal-Mart, Samsung, Others Sued Over Antenna Patent

Law360, New York (November 23, 2009, 4:14 PM EST) -- Samsung Electronics America Inc., Sprint Nextel Corp., T-Mobile USA Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. are among more than 20 companies accused in a new lawsuit of infringing a patent for a cell phone antenna.

Tyler, Texas-based DownUnder Wireless LLC filed the suit Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against 21 companies involved in cell phone manufacturing, wireless service or general retail.
