Thai Co. Challenges Reinstatement Of Steel Duty Order

Law360, New York (November 24, 2009, 5:55 PM EST) -- Thailand-based steel producer Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Co. Ltd. is seeking judgment on the pleadings in a suit where it has accused the U.S. Department of Commerce of unlawfully reinstating an anti-dumping duty order that had been revoked three years before.

In a motion filed Monday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, SSI maintains that Commerce does not have the authority to ever reinstate a revoked anti-dumping duty order.
