ITA Finalizes Ruling On Chinese Oil Pipe Subsidies

Law360, New York (November 25, 2009, 1:57 PM EST) -- Investigators at the U.S. Department of Commerce have issued a final determination that oil well casing and tubing from China is massively subsidized by the Chinese government, a finding Chinese officials have repudiated.

The U.S. International Trade Administration issued a final determination Tuesday that Chinese producers and exporters of drill pipes and other “oil country tubular goods” receive improper loans, tax breaks and other subsidies.
