Insurer To Pay For Fla. Petroleum Storage Site Cleanup

Law360, New York (December 3, 2009, 12:39 PM EST) -- Automated Petroleum and Energy Co. has dropped its lawsuit against Commerce and Industry Insurance Co. following the insurer's agreement to pay for the cleanup of contaminated soil and groundwater at two petroleum storage facilities in Florida.

Judge James S. Moody Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida signed off Tuesday on a stipulated dismissal of the suit, noting that the ruling reserves APEC's right to refile in the event that any further dispute arises over the cleanup.
