Computer Tracking Patent Suit Moves Forward In Texas

Law360, New York (December 3, 2009, 12:41 PM EST) -- A federal judge in Texas has turned down World Computer Security Corp. and Front Door Software Corp.'s motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction a patent and trademark suit regarding computer tracking and recovery software.

U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel of the Western District of Texas ruled Wednesday that the suit brought by Absolute Software could proceed and that a transfer of venue was not warranted.
