9th Circ. Revives Tribes' Effort To Halt Mining Project

Law360, New York (January 26, 2010, 2:40 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has partially reversed an order denying several Indian tribes' bid to halt the federal Bureau of Land Management's gold mining project at a sacred site near a Nevada mountain, ruling that the tribes are entitled to seek injunctive relief under the National Environmental Policy Act.
