PG&E Forges Wind Power Deal With Iberdrola

Law360, New York (December 3, 2009, 6:22 PM EST) -- Pacific Gas and Electric Co. revealed Thursday a deal with Iberdrola Renewables Inc., the U.S. unit of Spain's Iberdrola SA, to purchase and operate a major wind power-generating plant in Southern California in what will be the utility's first wind project.

The proposed project, known as the Manzana Wind Project, will have a power capacity of up to 246 megawatts and will be built on about 7,000 acres in the Tehachapi region of eastern Kern County, a site with favorable wind resources, the utility said in...
