2nd Circ. Affirms NY Times Win In Online Photo Battle

Law360, New York (December 4, 2009, 1:07 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed a jury's 2007 verdict that the New York Times did not infringe freelance photographer Thomas Alexander Dallal's copyrights when the Gray Lady published the shutterbug's photos online.

Thursday's judgment, in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, turned aside the New York-based freelancer's attacks on portions of the proceedings that resulted in the verdict for the paper.
