Court Stays 2 Whistleblower Claims Against SEC

Law360, New York (December 4, 2009, 2:30 PM EST) -- A federal court has stayed two claims in a suit filed by Gary Aguirre, a whistleblower attorney fired by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, pending the outcome of proceedings before the U.S. Merit Systems Protections Board.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Wednesday stayed Aguirre's due-process and privacy claims against the SEC but dismissed another due-process claim based on his firing.
