McElroy Deutsch, Pepe & Hazard Mull Merger

Law360, New York (December 04, 2009, 5:45 PM ET) -- McElroy Deutsch Mulvaney & Carpenter LLP and Pepe & Hazard LLP are discussing a possible merger to create a regional firm that will compete in a changing legal marketplace, a source at Pepe & Hazard revealed Friday.

The two organizations have been in merger talks since the summer, although plans for a combination are not yet complete, said David Urbanik, the firm's executive director, confirming news that was first reported in the Connecticut Law Tribune.
