Catheter Maker Settles Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (November 20, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Catheter manufacturer Rochester Medical Corp., which launched an antitrust suit against a group of rival medical supply manufacturers and group purchasers two years ago, said Monday that it has settled with one party named in the suit, Premier Inc. and unit Premier Purchasing Partners LP.

The company stated that Charlotte, N.C.-based Premier has agreed to pay over $8.8 million. In return, Rochester Medical will drop the company from litigation with prejudice.

Rochester Medical said that part of the settlement would go towards its attorneys’ fees....
