Google Sues Over 'Get Rich At Home' Scam

Law360, New York (December 7, 2009, 7:26 PM EST) -- Google Inc. has filed a trademark infringement suit against Utah-based Pacific Webworks Inc., the company it says is behind a ubiquitous Internet scam that touts easy money for at-home work while hitting victims' credit cards with high recurring fees.

In a complaint filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, Google asks for an injunction against Pacific, which allegedly has registered dozens of domain names incorporating the Google mark, and plastered Google's logo alongside offers for Google “marketing kits.”
