Judge Won't Reform Pact In Torched Restaurant Spat

Law360, New York (December 7, 2009, 7:25 PM EST) -- A federal judge has trimmed General Electric Credit Union’s breach of contract suit against National Fire Insurance Co. of Hartford, granting the defendant’s motion to cut a claim urging the court to reform the contract at issue.

Magistrate Judge Timothy S. Black of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio issued an order Monday saying GECU failed to show that the contract is not reflecting its agreed-upon purpose, barring reformation.
