Cintas Loses 2nd Circ. Appeal Of Union RICO Suit

Law360, New York (December 9, 2009, 3:49 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed the dismissal of Cintas Corp.'s claims that union actions violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, giving three unions another win in their long-standing battle with the uniform supplier.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Tuesday affirmed a district court's dismissal of Cintas' claims in a summary order, upholding a ruling that Cintas' complaint failed to state actionable claims against the unions.
