Citrix Invalidity Defense Limited In Realtime IP Suit

Law360, New York (December 9, 2009, 6:07 PM EST) -- A federal judge has limited the prior art references software company Citrix Systems Inc. can present to support its invalidity contentions in an upcoming patent infringement trial against plaintiff Realtime Data LLC over compression-based data acceleration technology.

Magistrate Judge John D. Love of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Tuesday granted part, but not all, of Realtime's request to strike certain invalidity theories Citrix advanced in support of its motion for summary judgment.
