Japan Joins Korea's WTO Consult Over US Zeroing

Law360, New York (December 9, 2009, 3:06 PM EST) -- Japan has asked to join a World Trade Organization consultation requested by Korea last month to examine a U.S. methodology for calculating dumping margins that critics say leads to unfair anti-dumping duties.

In a notice circulated by the WTO on Tuesday, Japan said it has a substantial trade interest in the consultation because it exports to the U.S. the same steel products at issue in Korea's request.
