Law360, New York (December 10, 2009, 12:01 PM EST) -- On Oct. 6, 2009, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published a final rule entitled "Standards of Performance for New Stationary Sources and Emissions Guidelines for Existing Sources: Hospital/Medical/Infectious Waste Incinerators." 74 Fed. Reg. 51369.

The rule applies to any device used to burn hospital waste and/or medical/infectious waste.
