Knology Licenses IP, Exits VTran Cable Patent MDL

Law360, New York (December 11, 2009, 4:56 PM ET) -- Plaintiff VTran Media Technologies LLC and defendant Knology Inc. have agreed to a settlement that includes a patent licensing agreement, removing one relatively small defendant in the multidistrict video-on-demand patent case.

Financial terms of the settlement, approved Thursday by Judge Michael M. Baylson in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, were not disclosed, and Knology was dismissed from the proceedings with prejudice.
