Rite Aid Asst. Managers Win Conditional Cert.

Law360, New York (December 11, 2009, 2:55 PM EST) -- A federal judge has conditionally certified a national class of plaintiffs in a suit alleging that Rite Aid Corp. misclassified its assistant managers as exempt from overtime.

Judge John E. Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania on Thursday cleared the way for potentially thousands of current and former Rite Aid assistant store managers to participate in the lawsuit.
