Ind. Teachers Withdraw Appeal Of MetLife Dismissal

Law360, New York (December 14, 2009, 4:02 PM ET) -- A group of Indiana teachers has withdrawn its motion to appeal a dismissal of a suit claiming Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. conspired with a subsidiary of the Indiana State Teachers Association to rig retirement options in the insurer's favor.

In a notice lodged Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, where the lower court proceeding took place, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit said it dismissed the case “upon consideration of the motion to withdraw appeal” filed Wednesday...
