Film Co. Sues Insurance Broker Over $20M Movie Fiasco

Law360, New York (December 16, 2009, 3:33 PM EST) -- Movie production company Capitol Films U.S. LLC has accused insurance broker Aon Corp. of selling it a defective insurance policy, in a dispute stemming from a Samuel L. Jackson movie fiasco that resulted in more than $20 million in losses.

Capitol Films, which formally sued Aon's retail entertainment division, filed its lawsuit Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, arguing that the policy should have covered Jackson's preproduction back injury that precluded him from participating in the film.
