Parker Hannifin Wins $6.5M In Fuel Filter IP Suit

Law360, New York (December 17, 2009, 7:15 PM ET) -- A federal jury has awarded Parker Hannifin Corp. more than $6.5 million in consolidated litigation brought by the industrial equipment maker against Champion Laboratories Inc. and Wix Filtration Corp. over a fuel filter patent.

A jury in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio found in favor of Parker Hannifin on Dec. 11, agreeing that the patent-in-suit had been willfully infringed and awarding the company more than $6.5 million in damages, said Chris Hunter, an in-house attorney at Parker Hannifin.
