Text Message Price-Fixing Class Action Dropped

Law360, New York (December 17, 2009, 2:38 PM EST) -- A federal judge has dismissed a proposed class action against Verizon Wireless LLC, AT&T Mobility LLC, Sprint Nextel Corp. and T-Mobile USA Inc. accusing them of conspiring to fix prices for text messaging.

In an opinion and order Dec. 10, Judge Matthew F. Kennelly of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said the consolidated complaint did not allege facts sufficient to state a claim.
