Dr. Reddy's Loses Zyprexa Patent Fight In UK Court

Law360, New York (December 18, 2009, 4:48 PM ET) -- A U.K. appeals court has upheld the validity of Eli Lilly & Co.'s patent for Zyprexa, rejecting Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.'s contention that an earlier Lilly patent rendered the patent for the blockbuster schizophrenia drug invalid.

The High Court of Justice, Court of Appeal, sided with Lilly on Friday, shooting down the Dr. Reddy's challenge and affirming a decision by the High Court of Justice, Chancery Division.
