On The Rise: Service Contract Act Enforcement

Law360, New York (January 04, 2010, 1:00 PM ET) -- Several recent developments make clear that contractors providing services to the federal government should be on high alert regarding the Service Contract Act (SCA).

Just before Thanksgiving, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis announced that the U.S. Department of Labor had added 250 new investigators in the Wage and Hour Division (WHD), the DOL office which investigates SCA issues (they had asked for 288 in their budget).
