Competition Legislation To Watch In 2010

Law360, New York (January 02, 2010, 6:41 PM ET) -- While competition experts predict a rise in global antitrust enforcement actions in 2010, they anticipate a relatively quiet year for new competition legislation. Unless, that is, lawmakers succeed in slipping antitrust provisions into health care legislation taking shape in Congress.

“In the U.S. we have major crises going on, and nobody is suggesting that antitrust is close to the burner [this year],” said Richard Parker, co-chair of the antitrust and competition practice at O'Melveny & Myers LLP.
