SEC Probes Telecom Italia's Sale Of Argentine Unit

Law360, New York (December 21, 2009, 6:16 PM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has reportedly asked Telecom Italia for documents related to the sale of its Argentine unit, based on an order from that country's competition authority.

Telecom Italia CEO Franco Bernabe said Monday that the SEC had requested the documents as part of an investigation into the forced sale, Reuters reported.
