GE Capital Wins $18M In Aircraft Loan Spat

Law360, New York (December 21, 2009, 12:15 PM ET) -- A federal judge has ruled that a Minnesota businessman who runs a real estate and aircraft holding company owes about $18 million to General Electric Capital Corp. for defaulting on loans related to two private jets.

Judge Joan Eriksen of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota ruled Friday that Jerry Trooien and two of his companies owe $13.2 million on a loan related to a Gulfstream jet and $4.7 million on a loan related to a Challenger jet.
