Finance Committee Favorably Reports 9 Nominees

Law360, New York (December 23, 2009, 5:08 PM EST) -- In the midst of the health care debate, the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance paused on Wednesday to favorably report nominations for several vacant positions in three executive departments in the federal government, including two spots in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.

The finance committee recommended nine individuals to fill vacancies in the USTR, the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in an open executive session.
