Patterson Thuente Gets Malpractice Suit Tossed

Law360, New York (December 23, 2009, 1:59 PM ET) -- Finding that its “bare-bones” complaint does not satisfy federal pleading standards, a judge has thrown out Rockwood Retaining Walls Inc.'s malpractice suit against intellectual property boutique Patterson Thuente Skaar & Christensen PA over the handling of a patent suit that resulted in a $24 million jury verdict against Rockwood.

Judge Donovan W. Frank of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota on Tuesday granted Patterson's motion to dismiss Rockwood's three-page complaint.
