Class Action Over Flimsy BMW Tires Still On

Law360, New York (December 24, 2009, 8:56 AM ET) -- A judge has denied BMW of North America LLC and Bridgestone Corp.’s bid to dismiss a breach-of-contract class action brought by BMW owners claiming that special “run-flat” Bridgestone tires designed to temporarily outmaneuver deflation fall flat on performance.

In a brief three-page order handed down Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Judge Katharine Hayden denied the defendants’ motions to dismiss nine different counts of the class action complaint.
