Insurance Legislation To Watch In 2010

Law360, New York (January 2, 2010, 6:44 PM EST) -- Insurance companies stayed relatively stable during the recent economic crisis, but lawyers say they may face major changes in some of the biggest bills before U.S. Congress in 2010, particularly health care and financial reform.

In addition, Congress is scheduled in the new year to take a new look at proposals that have been kicking around Washington for some time to create optional federal charters for insurers, as well as new liabilities for products like greenhouse gases and Chinese drywall.
